Feeling in a Ramones kind of mood

The KKK took my baby away

Poison Heart

Bonzo goes to Bitburg (pretty ropey quality)

The Ramones are a very NYC band with almost no Ramones left alive. Oddly they were headliners at the infamous CBGB club in NYC. A lesser known band that played in the same club but was unpopular would go onto larger fame as Blondie.

Oddly in the local Haloween parade 1/4 of the locals dress as Deborah Harry. Even at 60 she is quite stunning but has a huge head on a small frame.

Well one origianl - Tommy pluc Marky, Richie and CJ but 3 drummers and one bassist do not a quartet make! Blondie were huge here in my teens. Debbie Harry looks great for a senior citizen!

I was a little too young to appreciate punk properly but the Ramones, Blondie and the british punk and NW bands were part of teh soundtrack to my teens

Our local radio guy interviewed Debbie Harry a couple years ago and said it ranks as one of the worst celebrity sitdowns he's ever had. I guess she reeked of B.O. and pot and seemed incoherent. Man, pushing 60, and she hasn't slowed down her rock n roll lifestyle. Admirable in a weird sort of way.

I got into The Ramones when they did the soundtrack to Steven King's Pet Cemetery. Now my kids like some of their stuff That's really spanning the generations.

My new musical guilty pleasure is a group out of England called Gomez. I don't know if you've heard of them, but this is my constant repeat song of the moment. How We Operate.

Deborah Harry lived in the same area I lived in. It is not uncommon to bump into her at stores or on the street.

At no time that I ever saw her was she incoherent or smelled of BO. She was always very charming polite
and is very much loved by those who live in the community.

She always has a smile and a kind word for fans. I did get a laugh when someone asked her weren't you
Deborah Harry. She smiled and assured the person she still was.

I'm not sure if Blondie have stopped recording again but some of their come back songs like Maria and Nothing is real but the girl were very good. I daresay that decades of wild life took their toll on her ewbl.

It is nice to hear that she has not got the air of a diva, beakerkin. THe ones like that stay popular. As for the likes of Britney I get the feeling that people take great dlight in watchiing the train wreck that is her life
